Huizenga Leads 100+ Members of Congress in Bipartisan Effort to Save Family Farms, Enact H-2A Wage Freeze
May 29, 2025

"Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) announced he was joined by over 100 of his colleagues on a letter recently sent to House Appropriations leaders requesting an H-2A visa guestworker wage freeze in upcoming appropriations legislation. This simple policy fix would lower input costs for the agricultural community and save family farms across the nation. The level of support for freezing the H-2A wage rate is significant because it is bipartisan and represents the majority of the House Republican Conference (111). Last Congress, Huizenga led the charge to help family farms and achieved a policy win in legislation that passed the House Appropriations Committee."

ICYMI: Fox News Highlights McCaul’s Fight to Reimburse Texas for Border Security Efforts Under Biden
May 24, 2025

"Today, U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) — chairman emeritus and current vice chair of the House Homeland Security Committee — was featured in a Fox News article highlighting his successful push to secure $12 billion in federal funding to reimburse states for costs incurred to secure the border under the Biden administration. Texas, which has spent over $11 billion under Operation Lone Star to combat the border crisis, is expected to receive the majority of these funds."

McCaul Secures Provision to Pay Border States Back for Border Security Costs Incurred Under Biden
May 23, 2025

"U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas), chairman emeritus and current vice chair of the House Committee on Homeland Security, announced the House passage of a provision reimbursing border states — primarily Texas — with $12 billion for costs incurred to secure the border under the Biden administration. McCaul has championed the provision and advocated for its passage for months, working hand-in-hand with House GOP leadership and Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.).

“It’s the federal government’s job to secure the homeland, yet the Biden/Harris administration abdicated its duty and abandoned our states on the frontlines of the border crisis. As Texans know, our state bore the brunt of that abject failure, both societally and financially,” said Vice Chairman McCaul. “Four years of chaos and suffering later, Congress is doing the right thing: paying Texas back. I’m extremely proud to have helped secure this provision, which sends a strong message to our border states that America has not forgotten the sacrifices they made. With these funds, Congress says ‘thank you’ — both to Texas’ leadership, who stood up Operation Lone Star to fill in the gap, and to Texas’ taxpayers, who should never have been on the hook for President Biden’s dereliction of duty.”

Rep. Michael McCaul
McCaul Applauds Record Low Border Crossings in March
April 3, 2025

“Month after month, the Trump administration continues to prove that deterrence works. I've dealt with the border for more than 25 years, and I’ve never seen border crossings this low. These numbers are a testament to the dedication of our brave border patrol agents and to President Trump’s strong immigration policies, which are restoring order to the chaos caused by Biden’s reckless open border."

Rep. Michael McCaul
Congressman Lawler Urges President to Preserve Resettlement Programs For Afghan Allies
March 4, 2025

"Today, Congressmen Mike Lawler (NY-17), Michael McCaul (TX-10), and Richard Hudson (NC-09) sent a letter to President Trump urging him to keep in place the State Department’s Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE) and its Enduring Welcome program.
