Coalition Letter Urging Senate Republicans to pass Budget Reconciliation to Fund ICE

Letter - Tuesday, June 2, 2026

Time to Fund Immigration Enforcement

Dear Senate Republicans:

Republicans won the House, the Senate, and the White House in 2024 largely based on their promises of a secure border and mass deportations, not only of the millions of illegal aliens the Biden Administration let into America, but also the millions who were already here.

Despite winning the election on this issue, Congress has failed to perform its key constitutional function: funding the enforcement of our duly enacted immigration laws at the border and within the United States. Now is the time to rectify that failure.

The budget reconciliation bill before you is focused exclusively on funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol operations—the two components that were not funded in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appropriations bill. The American people expect you to pass the reconciliation bill this week without amendments.

The men and women of ICE and the Border Patrol put their lives on the line every day to enforce the immigration laws you have enacted. They deserve to know that they will continue to be paid for their work.

The American people voted for immigration enforcement and the restoration of our national sovereignty. We deserve to know that our Senators stand with us and will keep the campaign promises you made to secure the border and enforce the law.

It is time to fund immigration enforcement. Pass the reconciliation bill.
