Make Apportionment Great Again Act (MAGA Act)

This bill—

  • Excludes noncitizens from the population base used for congressional apportionment;

  • Mandates the Secretary of Commerce to recalculate the 2020 census apportionment data by January 2027 to exclude noncitizens, utilizing official government records and data;

  • Requires the inclusion of a citizenship question on the 2030 decennial census and all future censuses to specifically categorize respondents as citizens, noncitizen nationals, lawful aliens, or illegal aliens; and

  • Establishes federal jurisdiction and expedited judicial review by a three-judge district court panel for any legal challenges regarding the validity or implementation of the Act.
