Diversity Visa Protection and Modernization Act

This bill prohibits the Secretaries of State and Homeland Security from implementing a program-wide suspension of the visa lottery, restricting executive authority to targeted case-by-case, regional, country-specific, or temporary 60-day pauses that require advance congressional notification. Additionally, it ensures that no selectee loses their visa eligibility as a result of a temporary suspension.
