This bill makes E-Verify permanent and mandatory with an 18-month phase-in: Within-

  • 6 months if the employer has 10,000 or more employees in the US;
  • 9 months  if the employer has between 500 and 10,000 employees in the US;
  • 1 year if the employer has between 20 and 500 employees in the US;
  • 18 months if the employer has between 1 and 20 employees in the US; 
  • 18 months for agricultural employers; and
  • 1 year for any new employer.
