This bill ends chain migration by eliminating the parents, siblings, and adult children categories from the family-based immigration preferences. Family-based immigration would be limited to the spouses and minor children of citizens and lawful permanent residents. It also adds a new, renewable nonimmigrant visa category for parents of U.S. citizens.
