Stop Shackling and Detaining Pregnant Women Act
This bill severely restricts how ICE can enforce the law with regard to pregnant or recently pregnant aliens. In addition to blocking the use of physical restraints on pregnant, lactating, or postpartum aliens, it prohibits their detention and orders their release except for "extraordinary circumstances" or for a maximum of 5 days prior to removal.
