Conrad State 30 and Physician Access Reauthorization Act

This bill reauthorizes and adjusts the Conrad 30 program, which allows foreign physicians who completed their medical training in the U.S. on J-1 visas to stay and practice in designated shortage areas for a few years, instead of being required to return to their home country immediately after training. Instead of simply reauthorizing the program, this bill allows the program to expand each year and excludes aliens in the program from numerical limitations after 5 years when they want to adjust status and become lawful permanent residents.
