Restoring Essential Plan Coverage Act

This bill repeals Section 71301 of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to restore Affordable Care Act premium tax credit and Basic Health Program eligibility to nonimmigrant aliens and illegal aliens granted temporary administrative reprieves such as parole, Temporary Protected Status, or deferred action. It also amends Section 36B(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code to reinstate the special tax credit subsidy for aliens with incomes below the federal poverty line who are barred from receiving Medicaid due to their immigration status, while authorizing states to expand Basic Health Program income eligibility up to 250 percent of the federal poverty line.
