Dalilah’s Law Act

This bill-

  • Establishes federal criminal penalties for illegal aliens and parolees operating commercial vehicles, including mandatory minimums that escalate to life imprisonment or the death penalty for fatal crashes;
  • Reclassifies this specific CDL offense as an "aggravated felony" under the INA, which includes mandatory detention and rapid deportability;
  • Makes it unlawful for state and local bureaucrats to issue a CDL without first running the applicant through E-Verify, with up to a year in federal prison;
  • Creates a civil right of action against any business or organization that "=aids and abets an illegal alien in securing a license, and allows victims to sue for damages; and
  • Amends federal transportation law to mandate E-Verify for all CDL issuances and grants State Attorneys General the authority to sue the Department of Transportation if a citizen is harmed by a CDL issued by a non-compliant state.
