Deportation Acceleration Act

This bill:

  • Requires the DOJ and DHS to establish a system to alert DHS whenever a noncitizen is convicted of a crime within 24 hours. 
  • Expands expedited removal authority to aliens convicted of any felony or two misdemeanors. 
  • Requires the prioritization of removal proceedings for criminal aliens. 
  • Authorizes annual appropriations to DHS to fund a grant program for cooperative local jurisdictions.
  • Punishes sanctuary jurisdictions with a 15 percent reduction in Transportation funds.
