Fair Day in Court for Kids Act of 2025

This bill--

  • Requires the government to provide unaccompanied alien children (UAC) with taxpayer-funded counsel.
  • Requires the government to create ethical standards of representation for counsel of unaccompanied children.
  • Requires DHS to provide access to counsel at all detention facilities. 
  • Requires the Department of Health and Human Services to develop infrastructure for identification, recruitment, training, and oversight of counsel available to provide assistance and representation to unaccompanied children.
