Careworker Visa Act of 2026

This bill creates a new temporary employment category for "careworkers" and their spouse and children under 21. Careworkers include child care, elder care, and in-home workers.

• Annual Cap: 100,000 visas per year for principal workers, plus their spouses and children under 21 (not counted towards the cam).

• Amnesty: Allows illegal aliens and parolees continuously present in the U.S. since January 1, 2024, to adjust into this legal status, waiving previous unlawful presence.

• Uncapped Green Cards: Provides a direct adjustment of status to Lawful Permanent Resident that is explicitly exempt from the INA's worldwide numerical caps.

• Sponsorship: Allows any U.S. individual or family to sponsor a foreign national for private, in-home care.
