Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2027

This bill provides annual funding for the DOJ and Commerce Departments. Regarding immigration enforcement, it:

  • Appropriates $800,000,000 to the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR);

  • Allocates $230,000,000 to the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) to reimburse states and localities for the costs associated with incarcerating criminal illegal aliens;

  • Prohibits any Department of Justice grant funds from being used to provide legal representation to illegal aliens in removal proceedings; and

  • Bars the Census Bureau from counting illegal aliens when rendering apportionment determinations for subsequent decennial censuses, ensuring sanctuary jurisdictions do not gain disproportionate political power.
