Student Visa Integrity Act of 2026

This bill:

  • Expands visa fraud penalties for education professionals. 
  • Requires accreditation of language training programs for F, J, and M student aliens (subject to waiver).
  • Requires public reporting of when full tuition is paid by alien students.
  • Requires disclosure of alien student connections to the People's Republic of China.
  • Imposes a minimum $1,000 fine on institutions that fail to meet reporting requirements for student aliens or the revocation of the institution's ability to accept alien students.
  • Permanently bars educational institutions that have been convicted of fraud (and other enumerated offenses) from accepting alien students.
  • Mandates audits of educational institutions participating in alien student programs.
  • Imposes reporting and registration requirements on employers of alien students.
  • Bars flight training programs for alien students.
  • Excludes nationals from: China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela, and any other country determined by the Secretary of State to be a threat from participating in student visa programs. 
  • Ends duration of status for student aliens.
  • Places limits on online study for alien students.
