FLASH Act

This bill focuses on improving border security on federal lands along the southern border.

  • It authorizes the construction and maintenance of roads on these lands to give U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) better access for patrolling and interdicting illegal aliens and drug smugglers.
  • It also includes provisions to waive certain environmental or land management laws that might hinder such security infrastructure development.
