Stop ICE's Medical Neglect Act of 2026
This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security to establish a confidential online portal for ICE and CBP detainees, legal counsel, or family members to report instances of medical neglect in holding facilities. Complaints submitted through the platform must be evaluated by independent contracted medical experts to trigger required medical care or appeals through the DHS Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, while establishing protections against retaliation.
