This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment that would prohibit any individual holding dual citizenship, foreign nationality, or owing allegiance to another country from serving as a U.S. Representative, Senator, Supreme Court or inferior court judge, President, Vice President, or any Senate-confirmed officer, unless they formally and permanently relinquish that foreign allegiance.
