The Secretary was unable to make an informed determination on South Sudan’s designation by the March 4, 2025 statutory deadline due to the lack of an updated analysis of current country conditions in South Sudan. Accordingly, the TPS designation of South Sudan is automatically extended for six months, from May 4, 2025, through November 3, 2025.

Slightly disappointing that there was not enough time to make a termination of TPS here. Something to watch for in November. TPS abuse must end.
