The Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of Labor, is exercising time-limited Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 authority to issue up to, but not more than, an additional 64,716 visas for the fiscal year.

Devastating news for working Americans at a time of rising layoffs. This temporary doubling of H-2B visas will primarily support employers in the DOL Low Wage High Violation industry list who are already shutting out American workers seeking a fair wage and safe working conditions.
