USCIS will assume a more engaged and proactive posture in the Department’s efforts to enforce
immigration laws.
DHS was created to share enforcement and security responsibility between the components. USCIS is the frontline for combating fraud and closing security vulnerabilities in the legal immigration system. This is the beginning of restoring integrity to the legal immigration system and delivering consequences for fraud.
